Direct continuation of the events that began in 'Pandora's Star'. The Commonwealth is being crushed by the Primes who have escaped/been released from their captivity. Humanity has failed to come to any form of understanding with the Primes so must fight fire with fire no matter
what the cost will be to the 'Primes' alien race.
The Commonwealth decide to obliterate the alien home worlds in revenge and to stop more of their worlds from being destroyed. Humanity begin build newer more powerful weapons, ones that can destroy planets. Instead of destroying the Dyson Alpha planet where the Primes came from,
they use the weapon on what is stopping the force field from keeping the Primes within their own space thus preventing mass geonicide.
The 'Guardians of Selfhood' find evidence of the alien on 'Far Away' and with Commonwealth Forces set about destroying the aliens there. The alien that had crashed on 'Far Away' was a lost Primes craft and allowing it to escape would cause immense damage to the survival of the
Commonwealth and what is left of it.
