Character Profile
Half-man, Half-bird, this character was introduced to the viewers in the second series of Buck Rogers. Hawk is a happily married "Bird" but when his wife is killed, he promises to avenge her death by killing every human he sees. Buck tracks him down and captures him to be put on trial. When he's sentenced to death, Buck speaks on his behalf and manages to save him from the death penalty. From then on Hawk and Buck become the "Buddies" that everyone show has.

Hi John, I just wanted to point out to you that you've got your facts about Hawk wrong... The reason that Hawk vowed to kill all humans was that all of his people were killed by humans EXCEPT himself and his wife. His wife was accidentally injured when Buck tried to capture Hawk, and it was while they were trying to rescue her that they became buddies. For more details see my Thom Christopher / Hawk website (http://www.planet.nl/~m.theune/tc-hawk/) (Oh and what a pity that you've squeezed that nice picture into a square...) Mariet
