| Hoshi gets telepathic signals from an alien who says he can help the Enterprise. After convincing the Captain to take a detour, Archer and Hoshi visit the planet. The alien is a telepathic Xindi who had been exiled because of his powers. The Xindi persuades Hoshi to stay with him whilst he finds out the information they need. The Xindi takes on a variety of guises including that of the captain to persuade Hoshi to stay but in the end, it does not work. Hoshi makes the Xindi see sense and stop asking her to stay. She does this by threatening to destroy his telepathy enhancing crystal ball. With the ball destroyed, he would be unable to communicate with anyone off the planet. It's a rare episode where Hoshi takes centre stage. |
