Synopsis |
It's finally arrived, the film of 'Alien Vs. Predator', previously you could only read about the adventures, now you see them in live action. Unlike the comics, the story is set in the Present. A satiellite belonging to Weyland Industries discovers a Pyramid under the Antartica snow. Charles 'Bishop' Weyland depatches Max Stafford to bring together a team of explorers to investigate the new find. The team is led by Alexa Wood, a mountaineering expert. Underneath the snow, the team awakens the sleeping Alien Queen. This alerts three Predators who have been despatched to hunt the Aliens. It's not long before explorers come up against the might of the Predators. The Alien Queen lays a number of eggs that hatch who then spread out killing members of the explorer team and the odd Predator. The explorers discover that the Pyramids across the world were the inventions of the Predators. They showed the local people how to buiild Pyramids in return for sacrificing themselves so that the aliens may be harvested inside them. Alexa works out that in order to survive, she must side with the Predator. The explorers had uncovered and stolen the only weapons that the Predators could successfully use against the Aliens. Once she returned it to the lone surviving Predator, he makes her a weapon from the remains of an alien. Together, they plant a bomb in the Pyramid then escape. The Queen Alien has escaped from her chains and has a final confrontation with the Predator and Alexa. The Alien and Predator are both killed in the final battle. The female is rewarded as the Predator infected with an alien egg is taken about the Predator spaceship.

| | Adrian Dennis | August 2, 2007, 2:59 pm | | If you had really followed the story-line of the nature of the Predator and how it claimed its heroism after having killed its enemy,it would make that mark on its forehead as if it were the enemy's blood, which is not in the first Predator. I think the makers of the movie had a bit of a fumble with the story line there. They should have done this with the first Predator. Anyway, the mark means superiority over conquering the enemy, in this instance its the Alien who is the enemy. So upon return to the ship even as weakly, after fighting the Queen Alien, the mark would still be there for proof of heroism.
That mark is a bit hard to find around, I would suggest that you take a snapshot of that part while the movie is playing and print it and go to your local Tattoo Parlour and have it done on you. Power DVD can help you get the snapshot of that part, but make sure its visible enough. |

| | Adrian Dennis | October 5, 2006, 3:46 pm | | The movie is fantastic, everything about the predators, the aliens and the part played by the humans in the movie.However, when one watches the first Predator movie, you get this majestic feeling of the predator being non emotionally attached, then when you watch this one the Predator now begins to comprehend human emotions, that was just the only part I felt was bringing lesser of the admirable monster in the predator, thus distorting the first story line of the monster in the Predator like it was in the first Predator movie.However, this is a very good movie. I'm buying a copy for my self to keep with.I also wonder if the creators of this movie are considering making a fantastic sequel to this one, that would be very nice. Iwould be glad to be kept up to speed with it. |
