Star Wars I. The Phantom Menace
Synopsis |
Jedi Knights Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan are despatched to Naboo after the Trade Federation blockade the planet over a trade tax. They collect Queen Amidala and attempt to whisk her to Coruscant but before they can do so, they are forced to land on Tatooine. In need of spares, they head into a small village and meet with Anakin, a small slave who will race for the Jedi Knights. Anakin wins his race and they get to have the slave and the spare part. As they attempt to leave the planet, they are attacked by Darth Maul. After escaping, they get to Coruscent and Amidala argues her case before the Jedi Council. During the council meetings, Senator Palpatine rises to the rank of Chancellor. As things are moving too slowly, Queen Amidala returns to Naboo with the Jedi Knights. She proposes an alliance with the Gungans who accept. The battle for Naboo commences which involves a fight betwen Jedi Knights and Darth Maul.
