Synopsis |
A smaller budget sequel to the original. The film is based on a desert planet like the first but entirely at night. An infrantry unit is under attack from the bugs and so retreat to a remote outpost. The only person there is a murderer whose been incarcerated. A decision is taken to release him in order to help protect the base until they can be rescued. The General of the unit arrives with two more soldiers who he says just turned up. The murderer helps to fortify and secure the base from the bugs. Corpses with their blood having disappeared start turning up. The corpses are of the unit that had made it to the base. We soon learn the bugs are now taking over the minds of the humans. Its not possible to work out who has been converted by the aliens and who hasn't. Before long the only persons alive unaffected are a female soldier and the murderer. As the rescue team arrive, the female soldier is rescued by the murderer but he does not want to go. He says that he'll be executed for the murder he commited so stays to battle the bugs. The female soldier leaves the army and has a child. The army propaganda use the face of the murderer and say he's hero of the federation, battling the bugs in order that the other soldier lives.

Especialy i liked the actors and how they played: Brenda Strong and Richard Burgi. |

Starship Troopers 2 is perhaps one of the worst movies I have ever seen and was nothing like the futuristic sci-fiction we saw in the first. It was completely an utterly horrible to watch. |
