Superman

Not all aliens are grey-skinned, have pointed ears or ridged foreheads, some look like us. The most well known human looking alien is Superman. He was born Kal-El to parents Jor-El and Lara Lor-van. When the planet was about to explode, his parents sent him into space to suvive.
After a long journey, he arrives on the planet Earth where he is adopted by Jonathon and Martha Kent. They raise him as his own in the Kansas town of Smallville. His adventures in the town are featured in the television series Smallville. According to where you read, the
adopted parents are either dead or still alive when hes an adult.
Once he has graduated, he moves to Metropolis and becomes a newspaper reporter for the Daily Planet. He wears glasses whilst working as a reporter to disguise himself from his colleagues and it works. No-one twiggs who he is, the simpliest diguises are always the most effective.
He works with Lois Lane who he falls romantically in love with. She only finds out later on when he reveals himself. In the films, she doesn't know. In the Lois & Clarke series, she only twiggs when she is told by the time traveller H.G. Wells.
He faces a range of Earth/Krypton and other Dimensional enemies who want Earth for themselves. As well as the main characters (Lex/Lois and Clarke), there are some other character who appears frequently and they are Perry White, the newspaper Editor and Jimmy Olsen, a photographer. |
