Puppet television series produced by Gerry Anderson in the 1980's. The story is set in the near future, 2020AD. Earth is under attack from alien forces based on Mars led by Zelda. Zelda is a robot who was created on a far off planet called Guk. She rebelled against her creators then
left to attack Earth. She is assisted by Sister and Yungstar and a host of alien monster such as Sram. Earths response is to create the Terrahawks to combat the threat.
The group is led by Dr. Tiger Ninestein with help from Falconer, Hiro and Major Zero. The Major, voiced by 'It aint half hot Mum' Colonel, Windsor Davies is a robot sphere who leads the other spheres into battle.
Each side has an army of robots on which they can call on for help. The Terrahawks have the Zeroids whilsts Zelda has the cubes with a cross on their head. At the end of each episode the Zeroids and Zelda's cubes play a game of Noughts and Crosses.
On the whole the Noughts (Zeroids) win but occassionally the Crosses (Cubes) do win through either fair play or by cheating. |
