| The Thing
| Imagine being stranded in a hostile place, say Antartica and you've got to cope with an extremely unwanted visitor. That's what members of a research station have to deal with. After rescuing a dog from a Norweigan helicopter who are trying to kill it, the dog repays their hospitality by killing them. The dog is a shape-shifting alien that can take the form of any living creature. When it is hurt, it attempts to survive the best way it can which makes it all the more chilling. As it is shape-shifting it produces a level of untrust between the different people which increases the tension amongst the group.
