Geographos is an asteroid, a large rock that orbits the Sun mainly between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter. They tend to be an irregular shaped but Ceres asteroid is known to be spherical in shape but because it doesn't clear its path round the Sun, it is only a dwarf planet. Its mass is estimated/calculated at being 0.004.
Geographos was discovered on 1951-09-14 by A. G. Wilson, R. Minkowski. A close approach will occur on 2051 Aug 23 when it will get to within 0.0479 A.U. Its orbit takes 1.39 years to travel round the Sun. Its takes 5.222 hours to do a full rotation period.
