Alexander Rook - Dark Matter

Alexander Rook from Dark Matter played by Wil Wheaton.

Alexander Rook is a fictional male Human in the Dark Matter television series who was played on screen by Wil Wheaton. Alexander Rook is CEO and President of the dwarf star Technologies, one of the main corporations in the series. He is the creator of Portia Lin who is classed as an illegal human. Alexander wants to keep the creation a secret. If the secret of Portia Lin is found out, he could be charged with crime relating to her creation.

Alexander appears in two episodes and gets mentioned in a third as having disappeared. We can't write him out of the series yet just, we could see him return somehow. He appears when the crew of the Raza break into a Dwarf Star Technologies location in order to save the life of Portia Lin. Alexander calls Portia, Rebecca and is the only one that does so.

If he looks vaguely familiar, it is because he is the same actor who played Ensign Wesley Crusher in the television series, Star Trek, The Next Generation of the late eighties and early nineties. You can take the Man out of Sci-Fi but you can take the Man out of Sci-Fi.

In Built, not Born, we learn that Alexander didn't actually design or build Portia. The creation was done by Doctor Irena Shaw who looks exactly like Android (same actress of course). However, Irena Shaw could be a clone instead of a real person.
