Anakin Skywalker is a fictional male Tatooinian in the Star Wars film series who was portrayed on screen by as a youngster by Jake Lloyds and then as an adult by Hayden Christiansen.. Anakin Skywalker is one of the central male characters in the prequels. When Anakin is first introduced, he is nothing by a child but over the three films, he ages and grows into the character that we know as Darth Vader. Although Anakin ages considerably between the first and second episodes whereas his future love, Padme Amidala hardly changes. Padme was played by the same actress whereas Anakin is played by two actors.
Anakin Skywalker was born on Tatooine to a single woman who woke up pregnant. The birth was a virgin birth as there was no man involved as the mother, Shmi Skywalker alleges. It was prophesied that a young Jedi would be born to a unmarried woman who would one day rise up and destroy The Sith, not join them as Obi-Wan Kenobi said in the third episode.
One of the rumours is that Palpatine or even Darth Plagueis made Shmi pregnant when they were experimenting with the force. Darth Plagueis, the Wise was a past Sith Lord, who is believed to have been Palpatine's mentor before Palpatine killed Plagueis. Palpatine reveals to Anakin Skywalker, Plagueis was all powerful and began experimenting with bringing people back to life, Plagueis could have gone further by creating life in the first place. Shmi was a slave woman who was owned by the Toydarian trader, Watto. When Anakin is first introduced, he is little more than a young boy who works for Watto.
Anakin is discovered on Tatooine by Jedi knights Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan who are looking for spare parts for their damaged space craft. The Jedi Knights bet Anakins release on a Pod-Race. If Anakin won the race then Anakin would be released by Watto, if not, the Toydarian would keep both the ship and the slave boy. Anakin's mother was not part of the bet, Watto refused to let Shmi Skywalker be part of the bet. Anakin first meets his future wife Padme Amidala on Tatooine who at the time is in disguise as a Royal helper. As well as building his own Pod-Racer, Anakin's been busy building a robot called C-3PO. When first seen, C-3PO wasn't fully finished but was in the final phase of being created, C-3PO had no covering skin.
To get round the continuity issue of C-3PO not knowing about who built him, C-3PO had his memory wiped at the end of the third film so he had no recollection of ever being Anakin Skywalker's droid.
After winning the race and leaving the planet, Anakin is taken before The Jedi Council to plead his case to become a Jedi Knight. Obi-Wan, Qui-gon and Anakin plead in front of Mace Windu, the head of the Jedi Council for Anakin to be allowed to train to be a Jedi Knight. Anakin is accepted after a discussion between the council members.
Anakin leaves with the two Jedi Knights to help free Naboo. In one of the more irritating sequences, Anakin climbs into a fighter to hide and presses a random number of buttons which makes the craft take off. Anakin's craft goes into orbit round the planet and Anakin accidentally blows up a siege craft which disables the robots and shields on the planet below.
Anakin is separated from Padme after the battle on Naboo. When they meet again, Anakin is a young man, Padme hasn't change a bit. The age difference where Anakin has gone from being young to being the same age as Padme is one of the main flaws of the Star Wars films. Although in the storyline, Padme is only supposed to be a couple of years older, the character real age makes the difference look bigger than its supposed to be. Padme is supposed to be much younger than the actress is.
When Anakin and Padme are reunited, Anakin has now become a Jedi Knight. Anakin and Obi-Wan have been assigned to protect the Senator as someone is out to kill her. Throughout, Anakin's fears and nightmares over his mother get stronger and stronger and they eventually consume him. Anakin uses R2-D2 and Padme to set a trap for an attempt on Padme life. When the assassin, Zam Wessel attempts to kill Padme, both Anakin and Obi-Wan chase after the assassin but Zam is killed before the Jedis are able to question her.
It is decided that Padme's life is too much at risk on Coruscant, so the decision is taken to hide her. Padme returns to Naboo where Anakin will be her sole protector. It is during that time on Naboo that the two, target and protector become close.
Obi-Wan separates himself from the other two as he investigates the arrow that was used on Padme life which takes him to the hidden planet of Kamino, a water world. Kamino is hidden because its been deleted from the space archives. Obi-Wan was able to locate the planet because of the influence of surrounding stars that indicated something was there in the star map void.
During Padme and Anakins time on Naboo, Anakin's pain at loosing his mother is too much and Padme persuades Anakin to take them both to Tatooine to rescue Shmi. Anakin tracks down Watto, the slave-trader who owned Shmi Skywalker before she was sold onto a farmer. When Anakin and Padme visit the farmer, Anakin is told Shmi was kidnapped by a group of Tuskan Raider. Anakin ventures off on his own to find and rescue his mother. Shmi dies in Anakins arms, Anakin rages with angers and slaughters the entire Tuskan Raider camp.
After receiving word from Obi-Wan Kenobi who has discovered the hideout of The Separatists, Anakin and Padme travel to Geonosis to help Obi-Wan who had sent out a call for help. During the battle on Geonosis, Anakin looses his arm like his son Luke Skywalker would do in Star Wars V - The Empire Strikes Back. Anakin is unable to capture Count Dooku who is at that present leading the Separatists.
During the Clone Wars, under the orders of Obi-Wan, Anakin is partnered with the female Jedi padawan, Ahsoka Tano who Anakin must train and ensure Ahsoka becomes a true Jedi. Ahsoka doesn't appear in any of the live action films, only the cartoons of the Clone Wars.
Plagued by nightmares, Anakin wants to do anything that will ensure his wife Padme doesn't die including turning to the dark side of the force.
At the beginning of Star Wars III - Revenge of the Sith, Anakin and Obi-Wan enter the "Invisible Hand" to rescue Vice-Chancellor Palpatine. The Invisible Hand is the lead battle ship of the Separatist movement and commanded by General Grievous, a Cyborg with many arms. During the rescuing of Chancellor, Grievous escapes which Obi-Wan is then tasked with tracking down. During this time, Anakin falls more and more under the spell of the Chancellor, unaware he is a Sith Lord. After Count Dooku is defeated, Palpatine persuades Anakin to behead Dooku whilst Obi-Wan is still unconscious after being knocked out in the fight.
When Anakin eventually finds out the truth that Palpatine is the Sith Lord that they are looking for, Anakin tells Mace Windu. In the final stand off between Mace Windu and Palpatine, Anakin makes the final transition to the Dark Side by chopping off Mace Windu's hands. Anakin is given the name Darth Vader and told to destroy all the younglings at the Jedi Temple which he does without remorse. Palpatine sends Anakin to Mustafar to kill the Separatist leaders. Obi-Wan and a very pregnant Padme travel to the Mustafar to persuade Anakin to venture back from the Dark Side. The two Jedi Knights fight to the death. Anakin is left on the planet to burn but is rescued by Palpatine and turned into the Black Metallic Darth Vader.
Unbeknown to Anakin, Padme has given birth to their twins, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia. Sadly for Padme, Padme dies in childbirth, having no longer the will to live now after knowing that Anakin has turned to the dark side of the force.
Although Anakins father is never revealed or how Shmi got pregnant, there are a few rumours as to how he came into being. One might be from Darth Plagueis who has been known to be experimenting with life. According to Palpatine, Darth Plagueis is so powerful he was able to bring life back to those who had died. He might have created life by starting it so he could well have through the force got Shmi pregnant. Other suggests are a bit darker that she had a one night stand and her memory was wiped. Darth Plagueis was Darth Sidious's master following the Sith rule of two.
Although Anakin Skywalker met Padme Amidala in the Phantom Menace, there wasn't much spark of interest between the two of them put down to their young age. It was not until Anakin was tasked with looking after Padme Amidala from assassination did any form of relationship begin. Their romance blossoms in the second film and by the end of the film, the two have married in secret. In the third film, Padme Amidala is pregnant with the children and therefore is unable to do much in the way of action. Anakin is plagued by nightmares that Padme Amidala will die, Palpatine seizes on this fact and uses it to turn Anakin to his form of the Force.
When news is heard that Anakin is striking out on the lava planet of Mustafar, both Obi-Wan and Padme travel to the lava planet in the hope they can bring their friend and husband back to the light side. Anakin accuses Padme of being turned against him and he lashes out on her, knocking her to the ground. Obi-Wan and Anakin take up light-sabres against one another to fight to the death.
After the death of Qui-gon Jinn at the hands of Darth Maul in a light Sabre fight on Naboo, Obi-Wan is promoted to being a Jedi-Master with the responsibility of training the young wannabe. Before Qui-Gon Jinn was killed, Qui-Gon said that the Anakin's midi-chlorian count was high and therefore the force was strong with him. Training seemed to be going so well. Anakin and Obi-Wan became like brother which neither of them had.
When Obi-Wan discovers what is going on, he and Padme travel to Mustafar to confront Anakin who has by now killed all the separatists. After discarding Padme like a piece of rubbish, Obi-Wan and Anakin embark on an epic light sabre battle across the lava rivers of Mustafar, culminating in a final stand-off between the two Jedis. Obi-Wan warns Anakin that the should not attempt jumping onto the land but Anakin disregards the advice and Obi-Wan chops off Anakins hands and feet then leaves him to burn on the ground.
Palpatine had great interest in Anakin from an early age and used it to his advantage. Over the years, Palpatine influence grew, he appointed him his representative on the Jedi Council which unnerved other members of the council. Anakin wasn't given the rank of Master which displeased Anakin but he took up his role. Palpatine wanted Anakin in the role so that he could spy on the council. Palpatine accused the Jedi Council of mounting a coup against him and the republic.
After Anakin defeated Count Dooku in a fight, Palpatine managed to persuade Anakin to kill Count Dooku even though Anakin wanted him to be put on trial. At the time of the beheading, Obi-Wan was unconscious so couldn't prevent Anakin from doing so.
When Palpatine reveals himself to be the Sith Lord at the centre of the upheaval, at first Anakin sides with the Jedi by alerting Mace Windu. However at the end of the fight between Palpatine and the Jedi's, Palpatine says he can save Padme and then Anakin chops off Mace's hands allowing Palpatine to kill him by throwing him into the air. After that point, the move to the Dark Side has been completed and Anakin becomes Darth Vader.
Palpatine orders Anakin to kill the Jedi Padawans at the training ground then sends Anakin to Mustafar to kill all the remaining separatist leaders.
After Anakin lost the fight with Obi-Wan, Anakin is left to burn as Obi-Wan walks away. Palpatine arrives in a troop transporter to find Anakin and taken him back to Coruscant. As a result of the burns, Anakin is encased in a black covering therefore becoming the legendary Darth Vader.
Anakin Skywalker is knighted Darth Vader by Palpatine after Anakin has helped Palpatine defeat Mace Windu who wanted to arrest Palpatine. It is only after the fight on Mustafar that the newly crowned Darth Vader becomes the legendary man in black.
Anakin Skywalker was played by Jake Lloyd as a child in the Phantom Menace with Hayden Christensen taking over the role in the second and third movies. Jake Lloyd got teased for the role which had a detrimental effect on him so much that he gave up acting. Hayden Christensen has made a number of small productions thereafter, the biggest being Jumper. Hayden image was superimposed over Sebastian Shaw's Anakin Skywalker at the end of Return of the Jedi special edition.

|Excellant Character between being good and turning evil. Great active of this character of Anakin Skywalker, who is also as Darth Vader. Through out Episode I to Episode VI to bring out the story of Anakin Skywalker, the Chosen One and he had fallen from grace as the Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader. Knowing whom his secret wife (Padme Amidala) and how he fathered, Luke & Leia. Etc, etc, etc.. Young Anakin (actor Hayden) did a greatest & excellant job playing this character of hero and villian.|
|you are cute|
