Eowyn - Lord of the Rings
Eowyn is a fictional female character who works for the Fellowship of the Ring in the Lord of the Rings franchise. She has been portrayed on screen by Miranda Otto. Eowyn is one of the few female characters in the Lord of the Rings. Eowyn has a bit of a rebellious attitude. Eowyn is from Rohan and is a noblewoman and a shieldmaiden. When it comes to the final fight, she puts on armour and takes part in the fight. Merry is aware of what Eowyn has done and keeps it a secret. If he was to reveal what was happening, he too would be found out.
It is Eowyn who kills the Witch-King of Angmar because she is not a man. According to the Witch-King, no man can kill the Witch-King. The Witch-King mistook his indestructability on the fact that no man could kill him, he believed it was down to race and not gender. Eowyn was able to use the prophecy against him and kill him. The Witch-King was the leader of the Nazgul. a group of face-less humanoids who were also known as the Ringwraiths, Black Riders, Dark Ridgers, Nine Riders and simply the Nine.
