Kenya Rosewater is a fictional female Human in the Defiance television series who was played on screen by Mia Kirshner. Kenya is the sister of Mayor Amanda Rosewater who runs a brothel and a bar in the city. She has taken a personal interest in Jeb Nolan, offering him free time.
Kenya is willing to have fun with whoever he pleases and is known to have pleasured both Datak Tarr and Stahma Tarr. At first, Kenya declines Datak's request for sex but carries on with Stahma.
At the end of the first series, she is killed by Stahma to keep secrets which Kenya knows. Kenya had threatened to tell Datak secrets for which Kenya was worried about so she killed Kenya. Kenya was lured out into the woods and tricked into holding a poison encrusted flask which the body absorbed.
When Jeb Nolan introduces Kenya to Eddie Braddock, a close friend of his, Kenya decides not to go through with having sex, instead she gives Eddie two other women to entertain Eddie. Kenya has feelings for Jeb so can't bed his best friend. Brothers in Arms
Stahma Tarr comes to visit Kenya to ask her to teach her son Alak Tarr about sex. Kenya is taken aback because of the young age that Alak is and that he is planning on getting married to Christie McCawley. Whilst it looked like Kenya had been killed by poison, Kenya returns in Slouching Towards Bethlehem. When the Earth Republic have identified Mahsuvus, an Irathien working in the Need/Want, they plan to torture interrogate him. Kenya's kidnappers phone Amanda Rosewater and get her to release Mahsuvus. Joshua Nolan won't help Amanda so Amanda goes it alone.
After managing to release Mahsuvus, Joshua confronts Amanda and in the confrontation, Mahsuvus is shot dead by Datak Tar. Plan B involves Joshua pretending to be Mahsuvus and works but the kidnapper has escaped.
