Lana Lang is a fictional female Human student in the Justice League comic series who was played on screen by Kristin Kreuk. Lana Lang is the first love interest for Clark Kent during his time in Smallville, the town in which he arrived in and grew up on a farm. In the comics of Superboy, Lana featured heavily as the love interest.
When Clark leaves Smallville to go to work, Lana would later be replaced by Lois Lane, the more famous love interest of Clark Kent a.k.a. Superman.
Lana Lang appears in the Superman III played by Annette O'Toole who would later go on to play Martha Kent in the television series Smallville. Smallville follows Clark as he journeys through high school and then into the world as a reporter for the Daily Planet.
Although there is a Lana in Batman Vs. Superman : Dawn of Justice, it is probably not the Lana Lang character that we know.
From 2002-2011, Warner Bros. produced the television series Smallville. Lana Lang is a close friend of Clarks and would appear in the first eight series up until Requiem. The character would be played by Kristin Kreuk.
Lana was adopted like Clark was but unlike Clark, Lana was from Earth. He adopted mother was pushy and wanted what was best in the mothers eyes, that is become a cheerleader and eventually marry a sports star. Lana couldn't see herself doing that and would eventually give up cheerleading, instead focussing on running a coffee shop called the Talon. Lana would be able to raise money for the place through Clark's friendship with Lex Luthor.
At the start, Lana would be in a relationship with the sporty Whitney Fordman, played by Eric Johnson. Eric would appear throughout the first series but then leave to join the Marines and thereby enable Clark a free run at trying to romance Lana. Eric Jonhson is also known for his role as Flash Gordon in the television remake of the comic series.
One of the problems that Clark had was that Lana wore a necklace with a large Kryptonite meteorites which prevented Clark from getting close to Lana. The necklace would be given to Whitney as he left for the Marines thereby making it easier for Clark to get closer to Lana.
Chloe Sullivan was a close friend of Lana Lang and saw Lana as competition for the heart of Clark. Whenever Lana and Clark got close to one another, Chloe got a bit annoyed and upset at it. When Lana needed somewhere to stay in Series 2, she stayed with Chloe but because of their affections for Clark, Lana ended up moving out.
There was always a will they won't they romance between the two characters. The Smallville storyline stayed faithful to the comic line in that Lana would just remain a love interest. Lana would eventually go off with Lex Luthor and marry him.
