Boomer from Battlestar Galactica played by Herb Jefferson Jr..

Boomer is a fictional male Kobolian in the Battlestar Galactica television series who was played on screen by Herb Jefferson Jr.. Boomer holds the rank of Lieutenant within the Battlestar Galactica.

Lieutenant Boomer was a senior and skilled Colonial Viper pilot during the original series of Battlestar Galactica.

Whilst he was a prominent character in the series, nothing happened in regards to the character. He was just there to make up the numbers to be quite honest.

When Lieutenant Sheba, daughter of Commander Cain was introduced, Boomer's role in the series went slightly quiet. Boomer became less prevalent in the series.

Not much is known about the character, whilst the other two main characters had relationships, there were none to write about during the series.

Promotion to Colonel Boomer

The original series only lasted one series. The producers attempted to bring the series back in the eighties, Boomer became a Colonel. If you exclude Boxey who became Capt. Troy, Boomer was the only one who appeared in the series. Lieutenant Starbuck guest starred in a story but it was only a special guest star.

Re-Imagined Series

When the series was re-imagined in 2003 onwards, Lieutenant Boomer's character was changed drastically. The new character became an ethnic Korean female and was called Lieutenant Sharon Valerii ( Boomer ). In addition to being female, Boomer was revealed to be a Cylon infiltrator at the end of the opening mini-series.
