NGC 1027 Facts

NGC 1027 is an open cluster object of interest in space. It lies at a distance of 3,100 Ly light years away in the constellation of Cassiopeia.

It is also referred to as NGC(1027) in the New General Catalogue. This is a list of deep space objects that was compiled by John Louis Emil Dreyer in 1888 in an update to John Herschel earlier catalogue. NGC 1027 was discovered in 1787 by William Herschel.

The Open Cluster's location is 02:42:43 (R.A.) and +61:38:00 (Dec.). Its Visual (Apparent) Brightness is 7.00 Magnitude . The object can not be seen by the naked eye, you need a telescope to see it.
