NGC 2547 is an open cluster object of interest in space. in the constellation of Vela.
It is also referred to as NGC(2547) in the New General Catalogue. This is a list of deep space objects that was compiled by John Louis Emil Dreyer in 1888 in an update to John Herschel earlier catalogue. NGC 2547 was discovered in 1751 by Nicolas Louis de Lacaille.
The Open Cluster's location is 8:10.7 (R.A.) and -49:16 (Dec.). Its Visual (Apparent) Brightness is 4.70 Magnitude . The object can be seen with the naked eye, that is, you don't need a telescope/binoculars to see it.
