Dylan Hunt is on his own on the Eureka Maru when there is an explosion that causes him to pass out. When Dylan awakes, he is bed with a young blonde haired woman called Niandra who is his wife. Dylan also has a son called Ethan.
Rebekah Valentine and Tyr Anasazi head to the Eureka Maru to make it safe and retrieve Dylan. When they get to the Eureka, there is no sign of Dylan Hunt. Dylan was blown out of the Maru and is now floating in space towards a black hole, the type that got him stuck in time for 300 years.
Throughout the time he's unconscious, Dylan has flash backs of the past such as the Ice World in Exit Strategies. He also remembers the Magog and their terrifying Magog Worldship. In addition to Niandra, he remembers Sarah, his girlfriend from 300 years ago.
He also remembers fighting Gaheris Rhade, the ancestor of Telemachus . Whilst having the flashbacks, Niandra tells Dylan its all Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (P.T.S.D.) and that he should quit the High Guard and live a normal life. Dylan lashes out everyone but doesn't hurt or cause any damage. When a fire starts in the kitchen near Niandra, the fire puts its self out.
When they finally locate Dylan Hunt, Tyr suits up and attaches a cable to him so he can use thrusters to get to Dylan and pull him back in. Tyr manages to get to Dylan and wake him up then pull him back to the Marua. They return to Andromeda Ascendant where Rommie diagnoses the hallucinations as being caused by Hypoxia, a lack of oxygen to the brain. Hypoxia is a real life condition.
