Twilight of the Idols - Andromeda

Epsiode Synopsis

Dylan Hunt and Tyr Anasazi are on a mission on a planet to track down a group of Gennites when they come under attack. Heavily outnumbered, the two crew members are saved by a group of Templars, led by someone calling himself The Patriarch. The Patriarch is invited back to the Andromeda Ascendant. The Patriarch reveals that he is a descendant of Admiral Constanza Stark, a revered Admiral from the pre-collapse Commonwealth.

When Dylan contacts The Commonwealth high command, Dylan gets total authority to take out the Gennite base. The Patriarch is played by Michael Ironside, an actor more well know for his Ham Tyler in the original V series.

The Patriarch wants to attack a Gennite research station on an asteroid which Dylan agrees to help. Rebekah Valentine pilots the Eureka Maru with the assault team to attack the base.

During the operation, Rommie discovers the truth about the reason why The Patriarch wants to attack the base. The virus which had been the original reason wasn't as powerful as it was led to be believed. It turns out that the Patriarch wanted to weaponise the virus to use against the Nietzscheans.

Tyr Anasazi captains the Andromeda Ascendant to attack a Gennite base on a different planet with the help of Seamus Harper. Tyrs plan had been to lure the Gennites out and return to the asteroid.

The Patriarch reveals himself to be Admiral Constanza Stark, having undergone a transformation. Dylan Hunt confronts the General and prevents the plan from going through but doesn't kill the Patriarch and insteas lets him go.
