Hobbit - An Unexpected Journey

Hobbit - An Unexpected Journey is a Fantasy film which was released in 2012 and is directed by Peter Jackson.

The introduction tells of the Dwarven kingdom of Erebor, inside the lonely mountains where it is ransacked by the dragon Smaug. The dwarves loose their home and leave with Smaug taking up residence in the place.

Bilbo tells Frodo of a journey he has not told him yet. His story begins one day when he is visited by the wizard Gandalf who tells him he needed for an adventure to help some dwarves. Bilbo turns down the request but Gandalf ignores him and invites a pack of dwarves to Bilbo house. The dwarves arrive that night and feast on Bilbos food. The Dwarves are Dwalin, Bifur, Balin, Bofur, Bombur, Fili, Kili, Oin, Gloin, Nori, Dori, Ori andThorin Oakenshield. Bilbo Baggins is presented with a contract before he can start on the journey but he declines.

In the morning, the dwarves and all signs of them being there except for lack of food have gone. After thinking carefully, Bilbo decides to join them and signs the contract then runs off after them. The groups journey takes them to the Elven city of Rivendell and to the home of the Goblin King.They are chased by a marauding group of Orcs led by an Orc whose arm was chopped off by Thorin and who now wants revenge.
