NGC 1128 Facts

NGC 1128 is a dumbell galaxy object of interest in space. It lies at a distance of about 300,000,000.00 light years away in the constellation of Cetus.

It is also referred to as NGC(1128) in the New General Catalogue. This is a list of deep space objects that was compiled by John Louis Emil Dreyer in 1888 in an update to John Herschel earlier catalogue. NGC 1128 was discovered in 1886 by Lewis Swift.

The Dumbell Galaxy's location is 2:57:41.6 (R.A.) and +6:01:29 (Dec.). Its Visual (Apparent) Brightness is 14.00 Magnitude . The object can not be seen by the naked eye from Earth, you need a telescope to see it.
