NGC 3256 Facts

NGC 3256 is a peculiar galaxy object of interest in space. It lies at a distance of 100 Million LY light years away in the constellation of Vela.

It is also referred to as NGC(3256) in the New General Catalogue. This is a list of deep space objects that was compiled by John Louis Emil Dreyer in 1888 in an update to John Herschel earlier catalogue.

The Peculiar Galaxy's location is 10:27:51.3 (R.A.) and -43:54:13 (Dec.). Its Visual (Apparent) Brightness is 11.00 Magnitude . The object can not be seen by the naked eye, you need a telescope to see it.
