Whale Galaxy Facts

Whale Galaxy is a galaxy object of interest in space. It lies at a distance of 19 Million LY light years away in the constellation of Canes Venatici.

It is also referred to as NGC(4631) in the New General Catalogue. This is a list of deep space objects that was compiled by John Louis Emil Dreyer in 1888 in an update to John Herschel earlier catalogue.

The Galaxy's location is 12:41:58.19 (R.A.) and 32:32:21.23 (Dec.).
