Battle of Dazar'alor Raid

Battle of Dazar'alor is a raid whose entrance is located in Zuldazar on the continent of Zandalar in the World of Warcraft game. The minimum level for this dungeon is 120. The raid contains 9 bosses. The end boss of Battle of Dazar'alor is King Rastakhan.

The Battle of Dazar'alor sees both factions take on King Rastakhan and Jaina Proudmoore as they first attack the city and then retreat. For the first time, the first three bosses are aesthetically different for each faction. Both factions will face off against Grong, the giant ape. The difference is that the Horde will attack him first and after he's been killed, he'll be re-animated and look forsaken and then come after the Alliance.

In addition to looking different, the factions are also required to enter in the raid in different locations. The Horde will enter the location from the North, just outside the city and make your way to the centre. The Alliance will board a ship from the Boralus harbour to enter the raid. The Alliance will fight up the pier that the boats are moored to.

After the Alliance has killed King Rastakhan, you are transformed into Horde mercenaries and make your way back out, taking on the Gnome leader, Mages and then finally Jaina Proudmoore.

The Raid Opening

The raid is expected to go live on the 22nd of January 2019 so if you have any weak characters, now is the time to get fully geared. To get into the Looking for Raid group, you need an Item Level of 350. Trying to acces the raid before it goes live will just chuck you back out after showing the loading screen.

Opulence Tactics

Opulence isn't a hard boss, its just drawn out. When you enter the fight zone, you don't charge straight at Opulence, you need to split into two groups. One group goes right, the other group goes left. You need to make your way along each corridor and move into the next room when the tank and boss does.

Each room has a different mechanism to avoid. The mechanisms include avoiding fire that comes from the walls, avoiding a laser that can follow the player. None of them are terribly hard, its just cumbersome.

In the final room, pick up a gem stone that is most appropriate for your task. Don't kill your boss until the other side is ready to kill their boss too then kill them together. You can then move onto the Oppulence. If you wipe at any stage including at the boss, you will need to do the boss encounters from the start again.

The main things to remember with the boss is to targe the adds. Boomie Druids should use push back and Mages freeze them. The adds shouldn't get too near the edge of the fight area. Also if your character becomes golden, you need to move to the edge of the fight zone and drop off the gold, don't just leave it where everyone else is otherwise it will prove damaging.
