Battle of Dazar'alor Raid Info, Bosses and Location / Entrance

Battle of Dazar'alor is a raid whose entrance is located in Zuldazar on the continent of Zandalar in the World of Warcraft game. The minimum level for this dungeon is 120. The raid contains 9 bosses. The end boss of Battle of Dazar'alor is King Rastakhan.

The Battle of Dazar'alor sees both factions take on King Rastakhan and Jaina Proudmoore as they first attack the city and then retreat. For the first time, the first three bosses are aesthetically different for each faction. Both factions will face off against Grong, the giant ape. The difference is that the Horde will attack him first and after he's been killed, he'll be re-animated and look forsaken and then come after the Alliance.

In addition to looking different, the factions are also required to enter in the raid in different locations. The Horde will enter the location from the North, just outside the city and make your way to the centre. The Alliance will board a ship from the Boralus harbour to enter the raid. The Alliance will fight up the pier that the boats are moored to.

After the Alliance has killed King Rastakhan, you are transformed into Horde mercenaries and make your way back out, taking on the Gnome leader, Mages and then finally Jaina Proudmoore.

The Raid Opening

The raid is expected to go live on the 22nd of January 2019 so if you have any weak characters, now is the time to get fully geared. To get into the Looking for Raid group, you need an Item Level of 350. Trying to acces the raid before it goes live will just chuck you back out after showing the loading screen.

List of Battle of Dazar'alor Raid Bosses

Champion of Light Tactics

Grong, the Jungle Lord Tactics

Jadefire Masters Tactics

Opulence Tactics

Opulence isn't a hard boss, its just drawn out. When you enter the fight zone, you don't charge straight at Opulence, you need to split into two groups. One group goes right, the other group goes left. You need to make your way along each corridor and move into the next room when the tank and boss does.

Each room has a different mechanism to avoid. The mechanisms include avoiding fire that comes from the walls, avoiding a laser that can follow the player. None of them are terribly hard, its just cumbersome.

In the final room, pick up a gem stone that is most appropriate for your task. Don't kill your boss until the other side is ready to kill their boss too then kill them together. You can then move onto the Oppulence. If you wipe at any stage including at the boss, you will need to do the boss encounters from the start again.

The main things to remember with the boss is to targe the adds. Boomie Druids should use push back and Mages freeze them. The adds shouldn't get too near the edge of the fight area. Also if your character becomes golden, you need to move to the edge of the fight zone and drop off the gold, don't just leave it where everyone else is otherwise it will prove damaging.

Conclave of the Chosen Tactics

King Rastakhan Tactics

High Tinker Mekkatorque Tactics

High Tinker Mekkatorque is the leader of the Gnomes in the Alliance but that doesn't stop him being attacked by the Alliance. During a cut scene, the Alliance players will have been turned into Horde characters. Mekkatorque attacks in an armoured vehicle and is a multi-stage battle like everyone else.

The main things to worry about is the AOE and the robots in the first phase. If you get shrunk, you need to avoid being trodden on by your players and you need to jump into a robot. You need to listen carefully to your colleagues as they call out the numbers you need to punch into the robots to escape. Failure to enter the right numbers will result in death.

In the final stage, robot sheep will drop which need to be taken down otherwise they will explode and their fire will go in different directions. The tank needs to keep moving Mekkatorque round the area otherwise the AOE damage will hurt the players.

Stormwall Blockade Tactics

This battle has two phases, the first takes place on the boat and then the second back on the pier. You need to split into two groups for this so make sure that there is an even number of tanks, dps and healers on each side. The first phase is the same for both groups though.

When dealing with Brother, you need to take out the animals that come to perch on the boat. For Sister, you need to avoid the aoe on the ground. If one group finishes before the other, you can use the teleporter to get across to the other ship and help out. Once both bosses is down, you go back to the pier to take on Luminaria.

Lady Jaina Proudmoore Tactics

Lady Jaina Proudmoore is a leading member of the Alliance and both sides must take her down. You start the fight onboard the boat and need to down her to about 60% before the second stage commences. For those who have forgotten or don't know who Jaina is, she is the most powerful frost mage in the whole of the warcraft lore.

You need to be aware of the frost AOE that she carries out on board the ship and therefore need to move out of the way as required. She will create frost spots on the ground which will require the players to move otherwise they can die. During the whole fight, she will freeze people in ice blocks. When people are frozen, other players need to free them by breaking the ice before the character dies.

During the fight, the second part of the fight will take place on the water which she has frozen over. When the water is frozen over, jump down and follow the rest of the group to face off against Jaina.

During the fight, she will create a long line of frost which has to be avoided. Additionally, during the fight, she'll create an ice aoe that will expand, the tank needs to get Jaina to the edge so that they can break a wall and escape. During the fight, she will create a large Ice elemental which will aid her in the fight. If your team is skilled enough, you may wish to ignjore the add.

Even though you may have killed her, she'll probably come back at a later stage, she is too big a character to kill off.
