Tempest Keep is a raid whose entrance is located in Netherstorm on the continent of Outlands in the World of Warcraft game. The minimum level for this dungeon is 70. The only achievements you can get in this dungeon are the ones for completing. There are no achievements awards for individual boss encounters for making him to do something. The main anagonist race in this dungeon are Blood Elves. The instance was released in the Burning Crusade expansion. The raid contains 4 bosses. The end boss of Tempest Keep is Kael`thas Sunstrider.
Unlike the dungeons (The Mechanar, The Botanica and The Arcatraz), this raid does not grant you any rep with any faction. The majority of the trash here are the Blood Elf. Tempest Keep is the name of the spaceship that the Nauru bought the Draenei to Outlands after the Burning Legion had attacked the Draenei's home world and corrupted their leaders.
The Al'Ar is a giant Phoenix that at the start of the encounter will fly high above in the sky. You should clear all the trash before you encounter the boss. To start, you need to go to the upper level and hit the boss with any ranged weapon you may have. The boss will come down and set you on fire. Every so often, the boss will spawn a little Phonenix which you should kill before it kills you. Once the boss is dead, it will spawn from the ashes as in the legend of the Phoenix and you will need to repeat the kill again. If you're lucky, it will drop a "Brilliant Phoenix Hawk Feather" which is a battle pet.
You should clear the trash round the boss before you start to pull the boss. Be careful when you get close to him that you don't pull the boss as well. The boss will do a lot of stunning so you need to take account of that when fighting the boss. Stunning also affects high level characters. When I tried at a high level with a mage, it was a slow fight as he kept stunning me and all I could do was hit him with the staff. Damage was low but the fight was long and boring, Avoid the arcane balls if you can.
Solarian is a mage who if you get too close will start the fight straight away so make sure you have killed all the trash round the encounter area. Solarian will use arcane damage on you and cause you to be electrified for a short amount of time. Solarian will throw you into the air and let you drop causing damage along the way. Every so often, she will spawn Blood Elf soldiers or fellow mages to attack you. Once her health is very low, she will turned into a Void Monster.
Kael'thas will be in the final room with his advisors, Thaladred, Lord Sanguinar, Grand Astromancer Capernian and Master Engineer Telonicus. When the fight begins, you will fight the advisers in the order that I just said. You need to kill all the advisers before phase two. For phase two, weapons will attack and stun you if you are not careful. You need to kill all the weapons. You can then pick up the Legendary weapons which will then start the next phase. The Advisers will all return and fight you at the same time. You need to kill the advisers again then after that, its raid on the boss again. During the fight, he will fly into the air then come down bigger than he was before. Once you kill him here, its over. If you are luck, the Phoenix mount will drop otherwise you'll have to come back again some other time.
Although the boss is the first you encounter, the mount does not drop until the last boss.
