Highmaul is a raid whose entrance is located in Nagrand in the World of Warcraft game. The minimum level for this dungeon is 100. The main anagonist race in this dungeon are Ogre. The instance was released in the Warlords of Draenor expansion. The raid contains 7 bosses. The end boss of Highmaul is mperator Mar`gok. Dungeon rep can only be gained during Reputation Week.
Highmaul is located on the west side of the Nagrand zone at location 33,38. The raid is the first raid that players will encounter when they play the World of Warcraft - Warlords of Draenor expansion. Highmaul is home to the King of the Ogres and enjoys nothing more than watching Orc fight it out. One of the Orcs, Kargath Bladefist, one of the leading characters in the expansion fights in the arena and is the first boss you will encounter.
The location of the raid is on the western edge of Nagrand which in Outlands no longer exists having been destroyed in the cataclysmic event that changed the world into Outlands.
Highmaul being the first raid to be encountered has the lowest loot of all the raids. It awards loot that level 640 for Looking for Raid, 655 for Normal, 670 for Heroic and 685 for Mythic. 685 is the same level loot that you get if you do Blackrock Foundry at Heroic Level and Hellfire Citadel at Looking for Raid.
If you are doing the Legendary Quest line, you need to collect 125 Abrogator Stones which drop from the bosses. In addition to the bosses, you can do follower missions from your garrison to get them for you. In the village in Tanaan Jungle is an Ogre who for the right amount of Apexis Crystals will give you 25 Abrogator stones to help you speed up. After the stones, you then need to face off against Garona, the female Orc rogue. After that, you can then move onto Blackrock Foundry for the next step on the Quest line.
One of the main leaders of the Iron Horde is the first raid boss that you will encounter in World of Warcraft - Warlords of Draenor. When you first enter Highmaul, you enter his arena where you have to kill him. Tanks should tank him in the centre of the room. Occasionally, he will target a player and walk towards him. The player has to get on the other side of the fire stands which come up from the ground. Only when he walks into the fire does Kargath give up. He will grab a group of people and throw them up to the spectators, make sure one of those that go up there is a healer. In the spectators area, you will need to kill the Orc spectators and then return back to the ground.
Whilst in all raid levels, the areas where the pets are in are open, unless you fall into the pet areas in the lower raid levels, there is nothing to worry about. When you fall in, just jump out again. The fight is reminiscent of the battle that Russell Crowe's character did in 'Gladiator' in 2000.
Whilst it is possible to take on the Pigs and the Butcher at the same time, if you don't know what you're doing then its best to take them on separately. Killing the pig will not start the fight with the boss. You should split into three groups, with all the healers in one group. There should be a tank in each of the other two groups. You need to appoint two people to jump out of the raid when they get they get the debuff. They need to swap every time they get the debuff. During Winterveil, the Azeroth Christmas, the Butcher will don a green hat which when the boss is dead, the player receives the hat as a prize.
For LFR, picking up the flame throwers aren't needed compared to the other levels. Two players, usually ranged so they don't need to run back as far to the boss after using their flamers pick up the flamers. When a flamer dies, the flamethrower is dropped and another player can then pick up the weapon and carry on. Around the outskirts of the ground will be moss growing. You need to use the flamers to stop the moss from growing.
The boss will call upon a fellow monster which will rush at the group which needs to be picked up and killed. There will be a couple of plants that chuck seeds at players, they always come in twos and need to be picked off and killed. Mushrooms will grow, there are two types, ones that are green and those that are poisonous. The tanks need to bring the boss to the green mushrooms so as to be healed and keep away from the other types which can damage the health.
This stone elemental will when killed divide into two then when each of those is dead, will divide again into another pair of smaller adds. A red mist will shoot out from the boss at one player who needs to run away or will face damage. Other players need to avoid the mist as well as it hurts them. Near the end, the ground will rise up into pillars and you need to run round these pillars so that you have a clear shot at the boss. Dps needs to concentrate on first part then on one of the two sub-Tectus whilst leaving the other one alone. You shouldn't attack them all together, simply target one add and get him down then his parts down before the other one.
The good thing about this boss is that they share health unlike other partnership bosses. They should be tanked where they roughly start. Everyone needs to move about as they tend to fire flames along the ground to hit a player.
He might look blind but he can still hit you. Whilst the first phase is easy enough, just don't make a mistake and you should be fine. Ko'ragh will occasionally run back to the centre of the room and put up a force field. On normal and above, a player needs to be inside the force field when he fires it up. During the force field phase, for normal, a player needs to be inside the force field before it goes up. When the field is up, he can't be hit from the outside and you must turn your energies to the adds that appear.
Mar'gok is the leader of the Ogres on the planet of Draenor. He lives in his room and ocassionally goes to watch the arena. Before starting the boss, make sure everyone is in the room. This boss will have many phases so be ready for them. He will call a number of adds both little and large. When the large ones up, he will occassionally rise into the air so is unattackable. He will summon wraiths that must be killed before they kill you.
Near the end he will summon arcane balls and fire these at players, the players need to move out of the way of these. This is the point at which more people are killed than at any time so everyone needs to be aware and ready for this.
