Ragefire Chasm is a dungeon whose entrance is located in Orgrimmar in the World of Warcraft game. The level range for the normal dungeon is 13-18. The only achievements you can get in this dungeon are the ones for completing. There are no achievements awards for individual boss encounters for making him to do something. Classic raids and dungeons only had one mode and that was normal. Heroic level versions of the dungeon started in the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. Starting in Cataclysm and onwards, Heroic level dungeons were introduced for the highest level. The dungeon contains 4 bosses. The end boss of Ragefire Chasm is Taragaman the Hungerer.
Ragefire Chasm is the first dungeon that any player will experience if they use the Looking for Group feature. The location of the entrance of the raid is deep underground under Orgrimmar. The area is replicated in Siege of Orgrimmar where the raid has to stop Garrosh Hellscream at the end of the World of Warcraft - Mists of Pandaria expansion. If you miss the dungeon because you levelled before LFG was available, you will need to fly into Orgrimmar and be swift about before before the flying guards have a chance to attack you. You might need to have to fly in, get killed then run back, move closer and then die again. If you do that method, it is advisable you run in naked, in your underwear so they aren't damaged so you don't need to repair.
The entrance to the Ragefire Chasm in the area called the Drag, there is a cave that leads down to the dungeon. The dungeon is located at the end of the cavern. There are no mounts to drop and no achievements to be had apart from having completed it once so once you've done it, no point going back. The dungeon has undergone change since it was first released, the end boss is no longer a humanoid but a trogg now.
Adarogg is one of the first dungeon bosses you will ever encounter in Warcraft. Adarogg is a skeletal fel-infused dog who will walk between two patches of meat and feast on them until you attack him.
Just before you get to the boss, there is an Orc who needs rescuing, using a ranged spell, rescue the orc and then kill the add, being careful not to pull the boss at the same time. Clear all trash before engaging.
When its time to take on the boss, the tank should simply charge at the boss and keep the aggro on him. During the fight, Adarogg will breathe fire so the team need to move out of the way so as not to be hit by the fel smoke. Apart from that, its the first boss so it's going to be easy to keep you going.
Koranthal for short to his friends and enemies will block the path meaning you have no choice but to kill him. His main choice of power is shadow which he'll create dark circles on the ground to use against you during the fight.
The dark circles on the ground are the main things to worry about, simply move out of the way. Mainly, he'll be a melee character but during the fight he will use shadow power against you. An easy boss to kill and then move on.
After the boss, look for the box which contains an orc that is part of the questline to save all the orcs. You need to find a way to talk to the orc to make him leave the box and run.
If worms and snakes are not your thing then this boss will scare the living daylights out of you. It is a giant lava infused worm. Its the first of many worms that you will encounter on your journeys from zero to infinity. Not all giant worms will be in dungeons, some roam such as in Northrend.
During the fight, he will disappear and reappear somewhere else in the fight area so when he disappears, you need to move. Slagmaw might look like his has many arms and hands but don't be fooled, they area for looks only. Slagmaw will only breathe fire balls on people and not lash out with his hands.
When he disappears and then reappears, he will spew what might be a lot of blood so you need to move quickly out of the area. When fighting, don't get too close otherwise you fall into the lava and die or find it hard to get out..
Whilst the original Ragefire Chasm had Tarragan, the new updated Ragefire Chasm has this hulk of a red Orc. They are both as easy as one another mind you.
The main things is that he will create rock spikes out of the ground so you need to be fit an ready to move at a seconds notice. In addition to the spikes, he will knock players down so you need to get back up and moving again. When his health gets down to about 30%, he will rage and the amount of damage that comes is increased. Make sure before you get to 30%, your health is fine otherwise it could be lights out.
If you need to rescue the Orcs, once the boss is dead, there are three orcs in cages at the back of the room if you missed any.
