Scarlet Monastery is a dungeon whose entrance is located in Tirisfal Glades on the continent of Eastern Kingdoms in the World of Warcraft game. The minimum level for this dungeon is 90. The main anagonist race in this dungeon are Human. The instance was released in the Mists of Pandaria expansion. The dungeon contains 3 bosses. The end boss of Scarlet Monastery is High Inquisitor Whitemane.
Scarlet Halls and Scarley Monastery are two dungeon instances located in the Scarlet Monastery in the north eastern section of Tirisfal Glades, home and starting zone for the Forsaken zombies.
Every Hallows End, also known as Halloween, there is an extra instance boss which drops a top level item for players. In addition to the item, there is the headless horseman mount which people farm for every year.
In times before Looking For Group (LFG), Alliance groups would have to make their way to the Monastery and avoid being killed by the enemy. LFG made things a lot easier.
Scarlet Monastery used to be three dungeon instances before Mists of Pandaria expansion which revamped the dungeons and reduced it from three to two. The number of bosses were reduced in each section.
Scarlet Monastery is the home of the Scarlet Crusade, a bunch of religious fanatics that are holed up in Tirisfal Glades predominantly and who are obsessed with seeking the destruction of the Forsaken. As they have lost their way, they have turned against the Alliance which has resulted in everyone wanting to kill them.
The Scarlet Crusade can also be located in Desolace zone where there is an emissary who is friendly to both sides. They can also be located on the continent of Northrend where you are required to undertake missions in the area
At the end of the first strip is the boss. If you're not skilled enough then you should consider taking out all the adds on the way up to the boss. Failure to clear the path could prove costly otherwise.
Thalnos is a Necromancer meaning that he'll summon dead skeletons to aid him in the fight in addition to any Scarlet Crusaders. During the fight, he'll use all the possible D.O.T. spells on you, poison, disease and curse. It should be noted that the spells he throws can stack and therefore make it harder.
If you've done the Headless Horseman instance but not done here, you might therefore recognise the location where the Headless Horseman appears. The Headless Horseman is the Halloween (Hallow's End) seasonal boss.
If you are doing the quest here, the sword is behind where you found Thalnos.
Not all Monks are Pandarans, Brother Korloff, a play on the old black and white film actor, Boris Karloff is a monk that you encounter in Scarlet Monastery. When you arrive at the fight section, Brother is walking between two groups training other Scarlet Fanatics on how to fight.
You do not need to engage the non-boss elite fanatics, just becareful to fight Korloff in the middle so that you don't pull either or both groups.
The main thing to be away of is that he will do a swinging round kick with flames which means that everyone needs to run away when that happens. He'll also launch into a furious hand battle with whoever has the aggro so beware.
Be sure to clear the whole room otherwise the adds will be called upon to help in the fight. The adds to the left and right of the boss should also be cleared, we don't want any unfortunate accidents.
The person you see before you is Commander Durand who you have to engage first. The fight consists of two bosses, you have to kill this one first before you kill the other. Simply nuke Durand and then Whitemane will be summoned and come from behind the doors in the background.
When Whitemane arrives, she will resurrect soldiers and then later Durand. You need to take out the Scarlet soldiers before Durand and then Whitemane. You can interrupt Whitemane but allowing resurrection allows you to get the "And Stay Dead" achievment.
If the game bugs or you wipe, don't go into the room that Whitemane has come from otherwise the game could bug and you'd have to start again.Scarlet Monastery Location
