The Steamvault is a dungeon in the World of Warcraft game. The level range for the normal dungeon is 67-75. The only achievements you can get in this dungeon are the ones for completing. There are no achievements awards for individual boss encounters for making him to do something. The instance was released in the Burning Crusade expansion. The dungeon contains 3 bosses. The end boss of The Steamvault is Warlord Kalithresh.
Running this dungeon increases your reputation for the Cenarion Expedition faction. How much you get depends on the level and the race of the character. Humans have a racial bonus of diplomacy which means they get more rep from killing and doing things than the other races.
This dungeon is underwater in Zangarmarsh, you need to find the tunnel that will take you to the dungeons and raid underground. The Steamvaults dungeon is the second one in on the left side with the exit tube behind you. The coordinates for the Steamvaults is 50,33. Unlike the Caverns of Time, there is no minimap to show the location of this dungeon. It is a short dungeon by the fact that there are only three bosses. It has the highest level requirements of the dungeons in this part of the world.
Only when the valves behind the first two bosses can the player kill Warlord Kalithresh. You can only access this raid once at a high level for the Burning Crusade expansion.
At the start of the dungeon, you will meet all the characters that you'd seen in the other dungeons in this zone. To be clear, I mean the quest giver and the two characters you were supposed to have rescued in one of quests.
Thespia as you can see from the picture has two water elemental guards. It is not possible to separate of them without starting the fight against Thespia. Her spells include creating cyclones around players to stun them. If your character is high enough, the cyclones will not affect the character. The Cyclones will be a visual thing, nothing to worry about. The tank should kite the boss around the room, getting away from the clouds and cyclones. Her main attack is nature which she'll use against individual players.
Once the boss is dead, you need to remember to turn the valve on the controls. If you don't, you will not be able to access the final area and take on the final boss. If you don't, you'll have to come back and unlock. Best to do it whilst you're here.
The room is full of leper gnomes, its quite safe to clear as many as you can before you engage the boss. Those close to the boss should be handled with care so that you don't pull the boss. If you can't, kill them when you engage the boss. The best thing about the lepers is that they're all normal, no elites.
The best move of Steamrigger is that he'll make you small, more of a comical move than anything else. Those that are directly in his path will be shrunk so spread out when you attack him.
The Saw Blade will be thrown at one player so you need to heal him up when he gets hit. In addition to the saw blade, he'll also throw a net over a player which will cause damage. When he reaches a multiple of 25% health, he'll call on leper to come and repair him so you need to take out the leper before he repairs the boss too much.
Remember to access the control panel otherwise you won't be able to access the final boss and will have to therefore come back
The main thing you need to remember about this boss is to destroy the water tanks. During the fight, he'll become immune and run over to a water tank to gain power and health from it. Whilst he is drawing power, you can't hit him, you have to destroy the tanks so that he no longer draws power.
If Kalithresh has drawn too much power, he'll cause a massive A.O.E. damage everywhere which will hurt. You can't destroy the water tank until he is drawing power from it, no pre-encounter destruction sadly.
