Throne of the Four Winds is a raid whose entrance is located in Uldum in the World of Warcraft game. The minimum level for this dungeon is 85. The main anagonist race in this dungeon are Elemental. The instance was released in the Cataclysm expansion. The raid contains 2 bosses. The end boss of Throne of the Four Winds is Al`Akir.
The Throne of the Four Winds is a two boss raid encounter that is located at coordinates (38, 80) on a platform high in the sky over the seas to the south of Uldum, Kalimdor. The first raid encounter is four bosses but as you tackle these bosses at the same time, it is classed as one boss. Even though there are four bosses, when fighting as a ten man raid party, it is not necessarily required that you go with four healers, one healer for every platform.
There is a chance that the Drake of the South Wind may drop. The Drake of the North Wind may drop in Vortex Pinnacle which is to the east of this raid. The mount can drop in any level and any size so you don't need to do 25man Heroic to get the mount, it'll just as easily drop in 10 man normal. As it is a raid, it can only be run once a week.
You can mistake the instance for Vortex Pinnacle which is also high in the air off the coast. Vortex is a dungeon instance so make sure you know which one you want to enter and complete.

There are three bosses in this raid, you need to split the group into three. Even though a normal 10 man group usually only consists of two tanks, that's all you will need. A 25 man group should contain three tanks. If you are soloing this because you are high enough, you only need one dps to do it. When a boss is killed, the others will get a strength buff which needs to be dpsed down before it is able to gain strength. Soloing it is easy, kill one boss then jump to another platform and kill the other. On Anshal, you can ignore the adds and go for the big guy.
This boss is a two phase boss. In the first phase, you need to tank and spank and get his energy down. He will use a wind wall with a gap in it which rotates round the platform, simply move into the gap to avoid being blown over the side. In the second phase, the platform will disappear and you will have to attack him from the air. Its a relatively easy boss and you might be lucky that the boss drops the South Wind Drake.
