Cape of Stranglethorn is a zone on the continent of Eastern Kingdoms which has an environment of Jungle . Cape of Stranglethorn has quests for players leveled 30-35. The area is not controlled by either faction and has quests for both factions. Cape of Stranglethorn has 0 dungeons and raids resident in this zone.
Before Deathwing changed the whole continent, Cape of Stranglethorn used to be a large zone with Northern Stranglethorn. Cape of Stranglethorn is the southern most zone of Eastern Kingdoms. Like Nothern Stranglethorn, it is jungle like in appearance. The area is predominatly an Alliance zone given its location being closest to Stormwind, the human capital.
The main race of humanoids in the zone are the Trolls, not surprising really given that Zul'Gurub is to the North. Zul'Gurub is the ancestoral home for the Darkspear Trolls, the group of trolls who joined the Horde. The trolls here are unfriendly to everyone.
In the north west area of the zone is the Gurubashi Arena which is a pure PVP area so if you're not into PVP then its best to avoid.
To the south is Booty Bay, a wooden town built above the water. The town resembles towns you may have seen in some pirate towns. On the west and east coast near the town are Bloodsail Buccaneers, pirates which you can gain rep with. You can only be friendly with either the Bloodsails or the Bucaneers, not both at the same time.
Booty Bay is run by goblins who are aligned with goblins in Tanaris and in other zones. Rep can be achieved for each or just one of the goblin citys at anyone time. The Goblins are not aligned to the Bilgewater Cartel, the group aligned to the Horde so you can approach them and talk to them. Also in the town is are auctioneers who are not aligned to any faction. The Goblins will take a bigger cut than any other sides auctioneers so be ware. The Auctioneers are a great way to pass money between Horde and Alliance characters if you have someone you trust to help you. You can't buy something you've put on the auction, you need someone else to buy it for you.
Jaguero Isle is an island that is populated by apes and has a rare ape that you can collect. The problem with the collectible ape is that it will only appear when its raining. The weather on Jaguero Isle is different to the mainland so you need to keep coming back. If you can keep an alt there and change over every so often, that would be good.
