Darnassus

Darnassus Zone in World of Warcraft, copyright Blizard Ent.

Darnassus is a zone on the continent of Kalimdor in the World of Warcraft game. The zone has a city environmental feel to it. . Darnassus has quests for players leveled 1-90. The area is controlled by the Alliance and should be avoided by the Horde. There are no dungeons or raids located in this zone.

Darnassus is the home city of the Night Elves. The city is very quiet, there is hardly any visitors, the only people who tend to visit there are those doing quests or are low levels on their way out.

The city is at the top of a large tree stump which makes up the whole island. There is a portal to Rutherthan town which is on the coast. There is also a flight point in the city to the outside world but its best to go through the pink portal to the outside town and get the flight point there. Flying out of Darnassus can take an age which why the portal is the best way.

Apart from a few quests, The Horde might attack the city to kill the Priestess in charge of the Night Elves for the achievement.

The Worgen quartermaster can be found in Darnassus. When the Worgens were awoken in Cataclysm, it was the Night Elves that came to the Worgens help first hence why the Quartermaster is in Darnasssus.

Battle for Azeroth

Lady Sylvanna Windrunner, the forsaken leader launched an attack on Teldrassil, the world tree which kicked started the Battle for Azeroth expansion. Access to Darnassus is no longer possible, to access the city, you need to find the time wizard who will send you back in time.
