Dun Morogh is a zone on the continent of Eastern Kingdoms in the World of Warcraft game. The zone has a snow environmental feel to it. . Dun Morogh has quests for players leveled 1-12. There is a major city in this zone called Ironforge. The area is controlled by the Alliance and should be avoided by the Horde. There is one dungeon or raid located in this zone.
Coldridge valley in the south western area of the zone is the starting location for both dwarves and gnomes. Once you have completed the quests in that part of the map, you go through a tunnel to the rest of the zone.
Gnomeregan, a low level dungeon situated on the north west of the zone is the home of the gnomes. There was a gnome uprising and all the gnomes were forced to flee the city. The gnomes were given refuge in Ironforge, a large hollowed out mountain in the northern area. Attempts to regain control of the gnome city have failed. Gnomeregan is a dungeon but that hasn't allowed the gnomes to go back home.
Ironforge is a hollowed out mountain that is the home of the Dwarves. Ironforge takes inspiration from Erebor, the Lonely Mountain in the Hobbit trilogy. Erebor is a hollowed out mountain but unlike Erebor, Ironforge mountain is in a small mountain range.
Brewfest is a festival that takes place in September to honor the German festival of OctoberFest, a large drinking festival that place in the country. Brewfest takes place just on the outskirts of the city.
One of the events of Brewfest is to kill a Dwarven boss is a small dungeon instance that uses part of Blackrock Depths dungeon. In addition to getting an epic piece of equipment, it is possible one of two mounts could drop.
Every Christmas time, both factions will have a Christmas like period known as Winterveil. Just inside the entrance of Ironforge will be Father Winterveil, a dwarf dressed up like Father Christmas, in red and with a long white beard. He'll be sitting by a large Christmas tree which on Christmas Day, they'll be presents for players to open. A lot of the presents will be useless but one or two might provide an achievement.
