Duskwood is a zone on the continent of Eastern Kingdoms in the World of Warcraft game. The zone has a forest environmental feel to it. . Duskwood has quests for players leveled 18-30. The area is controlled by the Alliance and should be avoided by the Horde. There are no dungeons or raids located in this zone.
Duskwood has a nightmare/horror feel to it. The zone is dark and dreary compared to those surrounding it. It is located directly south of Elwynn Forest, the starting zone for the Humans. It is easy to step foot in the zone under level if you're very new to the game.
At the centre of the zone is a large canyon with a tree in the middle. Access to the place is through flight or a pathway through the mountains. Nothing of interest in the canyon anymore. In the early days of the game, a dragon of nightmare used to inhabit the zone and players would raid the boss for loot. Nowadays everyone avoids it.
There are two main human settlements and no horde encampments in the zone. The main settlement is Darkshire to the east which is where most of the quests are given out from.
Amongst the antagonists in the zone are spiders, wolves and worgen. Before worgens became playable, the worgens were feral creatures but now they are clothed like their players.
In the middle of the zone to the south is a path towards the jungle zones of Stranglethorn Value which has a number of safari like quests. There are no raids or dungeons, Westfall, Deadwind Pass and Stranglethorn Vale, all surrounding zones have an instance but this place doesn't.
