Kun-Lai Summit is a zone that is modelled on Tibet in South-Western China. The southern half of the zone is prairie lands with the northern half consisting mainly of a mountain range. The highest peak on Azeroth is Mount Neverest, a name played on the highest mount on Earth, Everest.
If you can make it to the top of the mountain, there's a monument there and an achievement to be awarded. At the top are dragons that fly around but they won't affect you.
Amongst the mountains on the north west side is the Shado-Pan Monastery dungeon which is relatively easy to get to. On the side of the mountain in the north eastern side is the first raid that you experience in the expansion.
A Sha monster randomly appears in the zone. If you are high enough to solo-kill it, you may be able to loot one of the rarest mounts available. The Sha will randomly appear some where in the zone and before you can get to it, it'll probably have been found by someone else and killed.
Zandalari trolls have take up residence in the north east and on the islands in the same area. The Zandalari trolls are the Mogu Temple goods which have been hidden in the Mogu'Shan Vaults. Apart from the achievements, a spectral mount drops from one of the bosses inside the raid so its worth trying when you're bored. Unlike the Sha, you don't need to worry about competing against anyone, if you're high enough, its one on one.
