Taurids Meteor Shower

When and where does the Taurids Meteor Shower Occur

The Taurids  meteor shower takes place within the boundaries constellation of Taurus.

There are two main times of the year for the Taurids. The earliest is in June-July when the Daytime Beta Taurids occur. This has a higher Zenith Hourly Rate but because it is a Daytime meteor shower, they will be harder to see. The second time of year is September to December. The main month for the better Taurids is November. The later Taurids are split into two groups, the Northern Taurids which radiant out from Merope. The Southern Taurids radiant from Ushakaron.
