Merope Nebula (NGC1435) Facts

Merope Nebula (NGC1435) is a reflection nebula object of interest in space. It lies at a distance of about 440.00 light years away in the constellation of Taurus.

It is also referred to as NGC(1435) in the New General Catalogue. This is a list of deep space objects that was compiled by John Louis Emil Dreyer in 1888 in an update to John Herschel earlier catalogue. Merope Nebula (NGC1435) was discovered in 1859 by Wilheim Tempel.

The Reflection Nebula's location is 03:46:1 (R.A.) and +23:47 (Dec.).
