Caprica - Battlestar Galactica

Caprica from Battlestar Galactica.

Caprica is the principle planet in all the Battlestar Galactica series. Caprica is the Galactica's home planet. The planet is based on the Zodiac constellation of Capricornus, the Sea-Goat. The planet is a large populous nation and very technically advanced. In the Caprica series, there is a holo-graphic virtual world which is based on Caprica but has a 1920's feel to it. The city is recreated room by room, when Joseph Adama visits the holocity, he manages to find his apartment block exactly where it is in the real world.

Caprica City is where Doctor Gaius Baltar works and where the Cylons send a Number Six clone to trick Baltar into revealing the codes for the defence matrix. Caprica plays a major role in both the original and the re-imagined series.

After the attack, Lieutenant Karl Agathon ( Helo ) gives up his place on his Colonial Raptor so that Doctor Gaius Baltar can leave the planet and aid the Galactica find the thirteen planet, Earth. After the Baltar's Raptor has left which is being piloted by Lieutenant Sharon Valerii ( Boomer ), we follow Baltar surviving on the planet, taking anti-radiation tablets to keep himself alive.

In addition to Helo, there are a group of players from the Caprica City Buccaneers also trying to survive and launch resistance attacks against the Cylons. Eventually when Lieutenant Kara Thrace (Starbuck) returns to collect the Arrow of Apollo, Kara finds Helo. Helo has become hitched to a clone of Boomers who reveals that she is pregnant with Helo's child. Both Kara, Sharon and Helo are captured by the resistance. Amongst the resistance is Samuel Anders who would later go on to marry Kara and be revealed as one of the final five models.
