Aegaeon, Moon of Saturn

Aegaeon is a Moon that orbits round the planet Saturn. It is also know by other designations, LIII, S/2008 S1. Its mass is estimated/calculated at being 59,946,737,324 kg. Its density has been calculated at being 0.5. Its volume is 0.1.

Aegaeon was discovered on Aug. 15, 2008 by C. C. Porco, Cassini Imaging Science Team.

The orbital period, i.e. the period it takes to complete an orbit round Saturn is 0.8081 days. The figure is also known as the sidereel period. The figure comes from N.A.S.A..

The Escape Velocity of the object is 1 km/h. The Escape Velocity is the speed an object needs to be travelling in order to break free from the objects gravity. The larger an object is, the more velocity (speed) is needed to break free from the object. The Semi-Major Axis of the orbit is 167.5, which is the furthest point from the centre to the edge of an elliptical point.

The equatorial circumference of Aegaeon is 1.9 km. The surface area of Aegaeon is 1.13. The surface gravity of the said item is 0.00004. The Mean orbit velocity, that is the speed at which it orbits is 54271.50 km/h. The is the average distance in km of the object is from its parent 167500.00.

The orbital inclination, the angle at which Aegaeon orbits in relation to the orbital plane is 0.001 degrees. The orbital eccentricity is 0.000, it is the degree at which Aegaeon orbits close to a circular (0) orbit as opposed to an elliptical (1) orbit.

Aegaeon Mythology Legend

Aegaeon was the Grecian god of storms of the Aegean Sea. The Aegean sea is the stretch of water between Greece and Turkey in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea in Europe. Aegaeon was an ally of the Titans in their war against the Gods. The Titans were the parents of the greek gods who the gods wished to overthrow.
