Veil Nebula Facts Supernova Remnant in Cygnus

Veil Nebula is a supernova remnant object of interest in space. It lies at a distance of about 1,470.00 light years away in the constellation of Cygnus.

Veil Nebula was discovered in 1784 by William Herschel.

The Supernova Remnant's location is 20:45:38 (R.A.) and 30:42:30 (Dec.). Its Visual (Apparent) Brightness is 7.00 Magnitude with an apparent dimension of 3 . The object can not be seen by the naked eye from Earth, you need a telescope to see it.

Veil Nebula has a radius of 50 light years or to put it another way, it has a diameter of 100 light years. It would take a space ship 100 years travelling at the speed of light to get from one side to the other.
